Harrisburg's Catalyst dominates Brookings for title

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Catalyst from Harrisburg came out of the loser's bracket to win the 2024 fastpitch softball state championship Sunday.

In the championship round, Catalyst knocked off Brookings 5-1 in the first game to force a winner-take-all showdown. The Harrisburg team then won 16-3 in the final. It scored the first nine runs of the contest.

Catalyst won five games on Sunday and outscored its opponents by 39 runs in those games.
