For decades, San Diego restaurateurs and chefs have celebrated the region’s locally grown produce by serving menus billed as “farm to table.” But on Saturday, a restaurant opening in Encinitas can truly lay claim to the title.
Haven Farm + Table, a 120-seat California cuisine restaurant, will open in the heart of Fox Point Farms, a 21-acre “agrihood” that includes homes, a regenerative 3-acre farm, a market and café, a farm stand, brewery, coffee-roasting business, apothecary and more. The businesses are open and the first phase of homes are nearing completion.
Fox Point Farms community is located at the northwest corner of Leucadia Boulevard and Quail Gardens Drive on land formerly occupied by Fox Point Farms’ wholesale botanical greenhouses. The development’s new mixed-use concept was conceived by managing partner Brian Grover, who lives on the property with his family, in collaboration with chief executive officer Erich Schultz of Arizona, a leader in the national agrihood movement.
