HOPE, Ark. – An Arkansas State Police investigation has led to a man from Hope facing multiple charges of possession of pornography involving children.
An ASP statement released Friday said 71-year-old Rodney Lee Watson is facing 100 charges of distributing, possessing or viewing material depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
Investigators said a cyber tip to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to agents with the ASP Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducting the investigation.
The release did not state where the search warrant was served.
Watson was booked into the Hempstead County Detention Center Monday on a $250,000 bond. His next scheduled hearing is set for mid-September.
