Housing, utilities top House GOP priorities
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — House Republicans on Thursday said reining in what they call excessive regulations will solve Indiana’s affordability problems.
House Speaker Todd Huston unveiled his caucus’ priority bills for the 2026 session a day after his Senate counterparts did the same. Rep. Alaina Shonkweiler, R-Noblesville, will lead her party’s efforts to bring down utility costs with a bill to enact performance-based ratemaking.
