DENVER (KDVR) — The presidential nominees have been chosen, and if you want to vote in the general election this fall, you will want to make sure you are registered to vote ahead of time.
"Right before these big elections, a lot of Coloradans realize, 'Hey, I'm not registered to vote.' Let's get registered, let's get prepared," Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold said.
Election Day is Nov. 5 and Colorado voters can register up until then. However, how you register impacts how you will receive your ballot.
To receive a ballot by mail, voters must register or update their registration online, in person or through the mail by Oct. 28. Those submitting an application through a voter registration drive must do so by Oct. 15.
