SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- An iconic San Diego diner officially closed its doors Monday.
Perry’s Café in Old Town has been a staple in the community for San Diegans with an appetite for good food at good prices since 1985.
“Everyone is so friendly with us,” said longtime diner, Allen Glitch. “I have the same thing every time, the frittata.”
The restaurant was named after Perry Eulmi, whose Greek immigrant parents opened up their first diner in 1980 in El Cajon. Five years later, they purchased the location in Old Town, naming it after her.
