INDIANAPOLIS (NewsNation) — The disappearance of an Indiana family of five late last week has prompted a frantic search for three young children who police believe to be in "extreme danger."

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department issued a Silver Alert on Friday, announcing its investigation into the disappearance of Willie Terrell, 50, and Jessika Terrell, 31, along with their three children Frankie Terrell, 4; Queen Terrell, 3; and King Terrell, 1.

The three children were last seen with Willie and Jessika Terrell, their biological parents, on Thursday, police said.

"They are believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance," the IMPD said.
