INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Ascension St. Vincent welcomed a true New Year’s Baby!

Baby girl Yasmin is the first baby born in 2026 at Ascension St. Vincent. She arrived at 12:01 a.m. Thursday.

Yasmin weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 20.08 inches long at birth. Her parents, Grace and Luis are from Indianapolis. The family says they are doing well!

Eskenazi Health welcomed their first baby of the year at 1:25 a.m. By 3 p.m. on New year’s Day, the hospital said hello to seven newborns!
