INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Indians open the 2026 International League season on Friday. They start with a three-game homestand against the St. Paul Saints at Victory Field.

As the Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Indians have landed eight of the organization’s top prospects, including Konnor Griffin, the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball.

Communications Director Anna Kayser joined WISH-TV’s Daybreak Friday morning to discuss the upcoming season.

“It is awesome being in AAA, being able to see guys go up to the big leagues and have such success,” Kayser said. “(Paul) Skenes won Rookie of the Year and Cy Young in his first two years as a big league starter. “
