INDIANAPOLIS–A man from Indianapolis was sentenced to 170 years in prison in the Indiana Department of Correction on Friday after being convicted of 13 felony counts that include both child molesting and child solicitation.
Police say 64-year-old William Emerson Killey committed abuse and other offenses dating back to the early 2000s. Prosecutors and law enforcement say they revisited accusations made by a survivor against Killey in 2005. They were able to file charges after that person came forward and the verdict brought them justice after more than 20 years.
After further examination, the accusations involve several children and range from 2002 through February 2025, according to the charging documents filed in Marion Superior Court.
The most recent claims stem from an incident investigators say happened on February 14, 2025 at a home in the 4200 block of East Minnesota Street. That is in between Raymond and Prospect streets on the southeast side of Indianapolis. That’s where a 13-year-old boy disclosed to his mother that Killey had molested him. The boy’s mother told police that Killey was a longtime family friend and that she had left her children at Killey’s home while she went down the street.
