JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Johnson City Police Department (JCPD) said a pedestrian has died after being struck by a train downtown early Saturday morning.
According to a spokesperson for the JCPD, the incident took place just before 1 a.m. Saturday near Market Street and Windsor Way. The JCPD said the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
No additional information was released as the investigation into the death continues, according to the JCPD. Police say more details will be released as they become available.
