LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Thousands of visitors converged upon downtown Little Rock this weekend for the Jehovah’s Witness convention.
The event, which wraps up on Sunday, has brought thousands of visitors to the Statehouse Convention Center.
Hotels and local restaurants have been filled around the River Market for this third church convention in three weeks.
"Everyone gets bad news, whether its globally locally or personally, so we need good news to counteract the bad and that helps us to be happier in spite of negative circumstances that may be beyond our control,” Scott Smith, Arkansas spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses said.
Organizers said the three conventions have brought a total of over 6,700 visitors to Little Rock.
This is the second year for in-person Jehovah’s Witness conventions in Little Rock since the COVID-19 pandemic.
