Johnstown man accused of sexually assaulting child

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Johnstown man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child.

Richard Kornprobst, 61, is accused of performing sexual acts on a child after she came forward to police, according to a criminal complaint. On March 14, officers from the Johnstown Police Department interviewed a child at the Child Advocacy Center and in that interview, the child told officers that Kornprobst touched her "no no spots."

The victim claimed that Kornprobst touched her inappropriately and performed sexual acts on her on multiple occasions. She added that he had told her not to tell anyone.

Kornprobst is in Cambria County Prison with bail set at 10% of $50,000. He is facing a felony charge of corruption of minors and indecent assault of a person less than 13.
