Kamala Harris is already taking donations for Presidential bid

Current Vice President Kamala Harris has jumpstarted her Presidential campaign just hours after Joe Biden announced he'd no longer be seeking re-election.

In a post to X, formerly Twitter, Harris thanked Biden for his "extraordinary leadership" and "decades of service" to the country.

"I am honored to have the President’s endorsement and my intention is to earn and win this nomination," she said.

Harris, who has kept a relatively low profile in her time as VP, is now running full-steam ahead for the Democratic nomination to face off against former President Donald Trump in November.

After thanking Biden, the VP shifted into campaign rhetoric in her post to X.
