Kauai's Tatiana Weston-Webb advanced to the Olympic finals with a win over Hawaii's Brisa Hennessy in Monday's semis in Teahupo'o, Tahiti.
Weston-Webb, representing Brazil, got through with a 13.66, while Hennessy, representing Costa Rica, put up a 6.17.
Weston-Webb will face Caroline Marks in the finals, while Hennessy will go against Johanne Defay, the same surfer who eliminated Carissa Moore in the quarterfinals.
