Kolob Fire in Washington County doubles in size, threatens 30-50 structures

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah (ABC4) -- The Kolob Fire, which sparked in Washington County on Saturday, has doubled in size, according to Utah Fire Info.

The wildfire, burning northeast of Virgin, Utah, was estimated at 300 acres Saturday night. It has since grown to 600-plus acres.

The fire broke out near the KT Campground at around 4:45 p.m. on July 27. The incident led to the closure and evacuation of the area from Kolob Terrace Road to Scenic Route 9.
