LAKE ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Lake St. Louis is preparing for another addition to The Meadows, bringing outdoor activities and more.
Thursday at 5 p.m., city officials will break ground on the new space.
According to Asset Manager Teddy Chattah, it is a 2.5-acre site that holds a partnership with The Meadows, the City of Lake St. Louis, and a private developer, Jeff Parrish.
The Meadows currently holds a mix of retail businesses and restaurants, but the plan is to draw more people to the area.
“The city is going to invest about $4 million and own part of the property, which includes an ice rink,” Mayor Jason Law said. “There’s a splash pad, playground, and other amenities for families to use. So, it’s a nice family venue.”
An additional space for outdoor performances will also be included in the expansion.
The ice rink is expected to open early in 2025.
