LAYTON, Utah (ABC4) -- Layton Hills Mall has new ownership.
The nearly 600,000-square-foot retail center in northern Davis County was officially bought by Second Horizon Capital, a Flordia-based investment firm in August 2024, which announced plans to renovate the mall into a community center.
In its Wednesday announcement, Second Horizon Capital said it will provide a "significant incremental investment" into Layton Hills Mall to transform the center into a community hub. This includes investments into infrastructure and operations and bringing in new opportunities for visitors of all ages to shop, dine, and gather.
Layton Hills Mall's new owners said the mall will be strengthened as a lively destination and landmark in Davis County.
