SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- Lightning was determined to be the cause of a brush fire that broke out east of Palomar Mountain Wednesday, prompting evacuations in the area.
The fire, dubbed the Grove Fire, started in the Dodge Valley area of the Sunshine Summit community around 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to Cal Fire. By Thursday afternoon, the fire had grown to 900 acres and was 10% contained.
