LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The City of Little Rock will be temporarily closing a portion of a downtown road next week.
Starting on Monday, Aug. 12 and going through Wednesday, Aug. 21, Louisiana Street between 4th and 6th Streets, including the intersection with Capitol Avenue, will be closed for construction.
City officials said the construction is for cooling tower replacement at 124 Capitol Avenue.
In a release, officials provided a map and a list of detours that drivers can follow.
- From 4th Street: Turn south onto Main Street
- From 6th Street: Turn north onto Center Street
- Capitol Avenue (Westbound): Detour south onto Main Street, then west on 6th Street and then north onto Center Street.
- Capitol Avenue (Eastbound): Detour north onto Center Street, then east on 4th Street and then south on Main Street.
- Southbound Traffic on Louisiana Street: Detour east onto 4th Street, south on Main Street and then west on 6th Street.
