Montanna McMullin said it's vital to dress lightly and stay hydrated in the heat.

"Wear shorts, proper clothing and stay hydrated and stay in the shade," McMullin suggested.

And even with temperatures at a steady rise, people are still finding ways to enjoy the sun, like Zamiere Mays who said he makes sure to get out of the house three times a week.

"You have to get up and enjoy yourself,” Mays said. “It might be hot but it's definitely going to be freezing by December.”

He said having fun in the sun isn't impossible and he and his friend have been enjoying their trips to the park despite the hot weather.
