Little Rock police arrest suspect in deadly Tuesday shooting near golf course

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Police Department officials said an arrest has been made in a deadly Tuesday afternoon shooting near the Eagle Hill Golf Course in the Otter Creek area.

Authorities said they arrested 42-year-old Earnest Holmes in connection with the shooting.

On Tuesday, officials with the LRPD said officers responded to reports of a shooting just before 2 p.m. at 4 Birdie Lane.

When the officers arrived at the scene, they said they found a woman dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

Police said Holmes is facing a charge of capital murder and two charges of terroristic act.
