LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - For the first time in club history, Little Rock's USL League Two soccer team - The Little Rock Rangers - have won their division.
On Saturday, in the club's second-to-last home game of the regular season, the Rangers defeated division foe Louisiana Krewe in a 1-0 match at War Memorial Stadium.
With the victory, the Stags added three more points to their division standings, securing the Mid-South Division title and an automatic playoff spot in the USL League 2 Playoffs.
FOX 16 caught up with the team ahead of their regular season home finale. First-year head coach Nick Doyle, defender Ethan Garvey, and goalkeeper Tomasz Wroblewski discuss the team's sudden coaching change prior to the season, the Stags' tenacious defense, the feeling of winning their division and using the title to fuel a bigger goal of winning a national championship.
