LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Many people were shocked by President Joe Biden's announcement that he is stepping down from the Democratic nomination and endorsing his Vice President, Kamala Harris.

"Well, I'm shocked to hear that he finally gave up because I kind of think that with his health and everything else going on, it was just time for him to give it up," Yazmine Williams said.

However, some say they saw Biden drop from miles away. Many democratic officials called Trump after his first presidential debate, asking for the step-down.

"I wasn't shocked because of the way he did the debate, yeah," Dennis Ewalt said. "It's a wise decision because, I mean, he's too old."

Some people in Little Rock take the same stance, asking for a step-down. They think his age and health are huge factors in the announcement.

"His health is really declining, and I think it's a dangerous situation the way that he was in, it's probably the best thing the country can have right now," Scott Taylor said.
