DENVER (KDVR) — Police in Littleton shot and wounded a man on Monday evening.
The Littleton Police Department posted just before 6:30 p.m. that officers were responding to the area of West Kettle Avenue and South Datura Circle. The department later said they were responding to "a disturbance" and police opened fire "shortly after."
Police on the scene told FOX31's Nate Belt that the man who was shot was armed and suicidal, but no further information was immediately released. Police said there was no threat to the community.
The condition of the wounded man was unknown. Police said he was transported to a local hospital after the shooting.
The 18th Judicial Critical Incident Team was on the scene to investigate the officer-involved shooting.
