Dawn Barlett, a former Montessori instructor, former speech therapist, violin teacher, a mother of seven, and now a published local author from Midland, showcased her book and read it to mothers and their children at the Midland Centennial Library on Thursday, July 18.
The book, Stella the Gorilla, follows the life of Stella, a mother gorilla with seven children who "vary in appearance, but not in heart."
