MAPLEWOOD, Mo. – Missouri Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Lucas Kunce held his first rally tonight since winning the Democratic primary Tuesday, and it was in Maplewood.

The rally, held outside at Schlafly Bottleworks, was called a “Rally to Restore Our Freedom,” which centered around protecting reproductive rights.

Dozens of supporters filled the outdoor patio, hearing from multiple pro-abortion rights speakers before Kunce took the microphone.

Once Kunce did speak, he made clear his plans should he be elected to the U.S. Senate, saying he would codify Roe V. Wade, protect access to contraception and invitro fertilization, and support a woman’s right to make her own health decisions.

“We are literally going to have to take our own rights and our own freedoms back,” Kunce said. “It is the only way. They’re not going to give it up. So, what I’m asking you to do here tonight is join me.”
