Machete-Wielding Carjacking in Southeast D.C. Ends With Suspect Taken Into Custody

WASHINGTON, D.C. — One person was taken into custody Thursday after Metropolitan Police recovered a vehicle stolen during an armed carjacking in Southeast Washington, D.C., according to preliminary reports.

The incident began in the 5200 block of F Street SE, where Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to reports of an armed carjacking.
