ST. LOUIS – A mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint Monday afternoon in St. Louis’ Kingsway West neighborhood.
According to a St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson, the hold-up took place around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of Norwood and Lexington avenues.
The mail carrier told police a pedestrian waved him down to ask for a change of address form. When the mail carrier went to get the man a form, he pulled out a pistol and yanked the mail carrier to the floor.
The armed man stole the mail carrier's property and ran off. The victim was not injured.
