Main Street Bridge & Junction Bridge closed for Fourth of July event in Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Two bridges in Little Rock will be closed as the city prepares to celebrate the Fourth of July Thursday afternoon.

Officials with the North Little Rock Police Department said that the Main Street Bridge and the Junction Bridge will be closed starting at 2 p.m.

Police officials said the bridges will be closed to ensure safety during the fireworks show at the Pops on the River event.

The event will be held at the Little Rock Riverfront Park, starting at 5 p.m. and the fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m.

Police are asking everyone to plan alternate routes in the area. NLRPD officials said that they will provide an update on when the bridges will re-open.
