Man allegedly writes note asking for $20K in robbery at Bronx bank: NYPD

KINGSBRIDGE, The Bronx (PIX11) – A man is wanted for allegedly stealing from a woman inside a Bronx bank on Monday, according to the NYPD.

It happened at Ridgewood Savings Bank located at 3899 Sedgwick Ave. in Kingsbridge around 2:45 p.m. The suspect allegedly approached the 20-year-old victim and passed her a note, demanding she give him $20,000, according to authorities.

The suspect allegedly stole $478 and fled the location going southbound on Sedgwick Avenue, per police.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as last seen wearing a blue baseball hat, sunglasses, a light blue button-down shirt, light blue shorts, white sneakers and carrying a black cross-body bag.
