Man arrested after stabbing at Castleton Square Mall

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — One person is in custody following a stabbing at Castleton Square Mall, police announced Thursday.

Lem Word, 26, is accused of stabbing a man with a folding knife inside the mall just before 9 p.m. on Wednesday, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a release.

Several officers administered First Aid to the victim, while others began searching for the suspect.

Officers located the suspect’s vehicle within 30 minutes and initiated a traffic stop in the 3900 block of North Keystone Avenue, about 8 miles southwest of the mall.
