ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) -- A man is in the Escambia County Jail in Florida charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing two people.
An official with the Escambia County Sheriff's Office says they responded to a hospital after two people arrived with stab wounds. Deputies determined the incident happened in the 2000 Block of Blount Street.
32-year-old Jacobia Newberry was booked into the Escambia County Jail at 6:15 Saturday evening. Based on the information the ECSO spokesperson had Sunday morning, both victims were still alive. Charges would likely be upgraded if one or both victims die. We expect to learn more about this incident when an arrest report is available Monday.
This isn’t Newberry’s first run-in with the law. Jail records indicate he’s been booked into the Escambia County Jail more than a dozen times as an adult.
