BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Police are searching for a man accused of recklessly firing a gun in Brooklyn, wounding three people on Monday, according to the NYPD.
The shooting happened on Nostrand Avenue. A 16-year-old boy was shot in the back, a 26-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and an 18-year-old man was shot five times, according to authorities.
The 18-year-old was shot once in the abdomen, once in the torso, two times in the thigh and twice in the groin area, per police.
All victims were transported to area hospitals. The 16-year-old boy was in critical condition, according to authorities.
The suspect fled the scene on a two-wheel scooter. He's described as having short black hair and brown eyes.
The suspect was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, black shorts, black slip-on sandals with red writing and a metal brace on both legs, according to authorities.
An "Enough is Enough" rally will be held at 1156 Nostrand Ave. on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in response to the triple shooting.
