SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man was shot multiple times while driving in San Diego's Corridor neighborhood Tuesday night, authorities said.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the 32-year-old victim was driving his vehicle eastbound in the 3600 block of Polk Avenue around 10:15 p.m. when an unknown suspect shot at his vehicle around 16 times.
The man’s vehicle was struck at least nine times and the victim suffered six gunshots to his head, police said. He was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries.
Sixteen 9mm casings were located in the street.
The suspect was described as wearing a light colored hoodie and dark pants. No arrests have been made at this time and no further details were immediately provided.
