ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - St. Louis County Police are trying to piece together all of the facts after a man was shot early Friday morning.
County police rushed to the 10100 block of Viscount Drive in the Castle Point neighborhood around 12:30 a.m. Friday, not far from the intersection of Halls Ferry and Chambers Roads.
There were at least a dozen evidence markers at the scene, which typically indicate things like shell casings.
At this point, county police believe an adult male was shot and taken to the hospital for treatment.
There is no update on the condition of the man but crimes against persons detectives were called in and county police had an active scene on Viscount Drive for around four hours before that part of the investigation wrapped up.
Authorities have not yet released the victim's name or age.
A couple of trucks arrived just before police cleared the scene to tow away two vehicles. One was an SUV, the other a Chrysler 300. There is no indication if those vehicles were related to the actual shooting.
