Man slashed subway rider with broken bottle in Bronx train station: NYPD

LONGWOOD, the Bronx (PIX11) --- A man slashed a subway rider in the face with a broken bottle in a Bronx train station on Thursday night, police said.

The suspect and the 40-year-old man argued before the attack at the mezzanine level of the Longwood Street subway station at around 10:30 p.m., according to the NYPD. The victim was slashed on the right side of his face and in the right arm.

The perpetrator then ran and got on the northbound No. 6 train, police said. There have been no arrests.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.
