DENVER (KDVR) -- A man who allegedly walked out of a burning home and shot at first responders in an ambulance in Aurora is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder and arson.
Around 3:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, crews responded to a house fire in the 4200 block of South Kittredge Street. While Aurora Fire Rescue was putting out the fire, police said the man walked out of the house and fired a shot at a responding Falck ambulance. He was taken into custody after a brief standoff with officers and identified as 34-year-old Nikolas Alexander Otvos.
FOX31 obtained the arrest affidavit from the Aurora Police Department, which reveals details about the incident, according to investigators.

Paramedics in the responding ambulance reported seeing the man walking west as they were driving east on East Princeton Avenue.
