Meet the Mountains Festival kicks off first day with kayaks, a zipline and more

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) - Outdoor adventurers gathered at Winged Deer Park on Friday for the first day of the Meet the Mountains Festival.

The Meet the Mountains Festival includes adventures, including:

Kayaking
Paddleboarding
Fly fishing
Mountain biking
Axe throwing
Ziplining
Ultimate Air Dogs
Rockwall climbing

The festival featured education clinics and live music, and the local parks and recreation department provided kid-friendly activities. It also welcomed food and snack vendors, who had certain guidelines to follow as they served the community.
