Milesburg resident files formal complaint against local government

MILESBURG, Pa. (WTAJ) – After months of turmoil surrounding Milesburg's government, one resident has filed a formal complaint against the borough and its members.

J. Bryce Taylor has been criticizing Milesburg's borough council for months, claiming that there have been multiple violations of the Sunshine Act and municipal law. He filed a Writ of Summons in May, but it was not until Aug. 7 that he filed the full complaint.

In the complaint, Taylor says that after several council members resigned earlier in 2024, their replacements were not legally appointed. With several members gone, the council would not have quorum – meaning that the council would not have the power to make decisions. He is now...
