Mobile County begins work on Government Plaza's South Tower — what you should know

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Roof replacement work is beginning this week on the South Tower of Mobile Government Plaza.

According to a news release from Mobile County, contractors will install overhead protection scaffolding on the south side of the building. A crane will lift materials into place on the roof.

"Spotters and flaggers on Church Street will guide traffic and pedestrians during lifts," the release said. "Pedestrians and building vehicle traffic will be given the right of way during this process."
