MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A man was arrested early Sunday morning after officers saw him driving a stolen car, according to the Mobile Police Department.
An MPD news release said officers stopped a car on the 5600 block of Moffett Road around 12:05 a.m. Sunday.
Officers allegedly found that the vehicle had been reported stolen and drugs inside it.
The driver, now identified as 49-year-old Billy E Mathis, Jr., of Mobile, was arrested and charged with first-degree receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
