Mobile police seek man who ran into woods after car chase

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — Officers with the Mobile Police Department are searching for a man who led them on a chase before running into the woods, according to officials.

The manhunt is happening off Wolf Ridge Road near Covan Avenue in Prichard, News 5 has learned.

Police said the driver stopped the vehicle around Covan Road and ran into the woods.

MPD said the high-speed chase reached speeds of over 90 miles per hour.

The chase started around 9:15 a.m.
