Moped hits woman in Manhattan, victim suffers broken jaw: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Police are searching for a man after a woman was hit by a moped on Monday, July 15.

The incident happened at around 12:45 p.m. at the intersection of West 218th Street and Broadway, according to the NYPD.

The victim, a 57-year-old, was walking when the moped struck her, police said. She was knocked unconscious and suffered a broken jaw. Emergency services transported her to a local hospital.

The suspect fled on foot, police said. He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, a white tank top, black shorts, and black and red sneakers.

The NYPD released the following surveillance photo of the suspect.
