More than just a poker run

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —Those Guys A.B.A.T.E. held its 16th annual Poker Run. This event raises money for the Children's Home Society. The proceeds provide children with Christmas presents as well other gifts.

"A lot of chrome, a lot of color, a lot of different walks of life," Laillya Schultz (Iggy) said.

The Cheap Shots parking lot quickly started to fill up as the registration for the Poker Run began.

"The kids that are at the Children's Home Society are not there of their own doing. They're there by somebody else's actions. So, we're here to support them, raise money for the kids at the home," Roger Sherman said.

On top of the prizes the attendees can win, the poker run is about supporting the kids.

"That's really why we're here. Dave's got a real passion for this in his heart and to get this many people to show up. It's a short little ride. It's a really big payout for the small little ride as it is. It's just a great thing," Roger Sherman said.

Events like these would not be able to take place without the help and support of the community.

"It lets other people know that the stereotype we're not greasy rule breaking. We're here to do good and help the community we live in," Laillya Schultz (Iggy) said
