SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) -- A man who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 8 in the College Area last month has been identified by authorities.
According to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office, David Priest, a 59-year-old San Diego resident, was riding a black motorcycle eastbound along I-8 on the evening of June 28.
He was reportedly lane splitting when he collided with the back of a Honda Pilot, authorities said. Upon impact, Priest was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest within the travel lanes of I-8.
First-responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. His cause of death was listed by the Medical Examiner as "multiple blunt force injuries."
