HUNTINGDON COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) – Mount Union Senior Lofts is the area's newest affordable senior living option, but for some, it won't be their first time in the building.
They promise an affordable living area while not compromising on quality. Both one and two-bedroom apartments are available.
"It's a brand new building with a $17 million renovation," Seneca Weatherspoon, leasing specialist, said. "So, we just started leasing last month and have moved in 14 residents so far."
However, the building comes with history. It used to be the Mt. Union Grade School built in 1924, making it a century old. Some residents moving in went to school there and recognized the inside.
"They went to school here and now they live here, so that's the most exciting part of everything," Weatherspoon said.
