MPD searches for person involved in hit-and-run crash into building

MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Midland Police Department is asking for help regarding a hit-and-run investigation after an unknown driver crashed into a building causing damage, and fled.

According to MPD, on Friday, July 13 around 2:27 a.m., an unknown driver in a pickup was traveling eastbound in the 1500 block of West Flordia Avenue when the vehicle drove off the roadway and crashed into a building on the corner of West Flordia Avenue and South Goode Street.

Officials reported that after crashing into and damaging the building, the unknown driver fled in the eastbound direction on West Flordia Avenue.

MPD asks anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the pickup or driver to call Midland Pd at 432-685-7108 and reference hit-and-run case #240713008.
