MTA employee arrested for making false report: NYPD

JAMAICA, Queens (PIX11) -- An MTA employee was arrested on Saturday for falsely claiming he was slashed, police say.

According to authorities, Henry Herring reported that he’d been assaulted and slashed in both hands at the Jamaica–179th Street Station on Wednesday just before 4 a.m. The 54-year-old was transported to the hospital but there was no word on his condition at the time.

The MTA employee was arrested three days later and was charged with falsely reporting an incident in the third degree.
