FLANDREAU, S.D. (KELO) -- The name of the person killed in a Moody County crash on Saturday has been released.
The 18-year-old woman who died in the crash was Davina Darveaux, of Pipestone, Minnesota. She was not wearing a seatbelt, authorities said.
The driver of a 1999 semi-truck was a 30-year-old man and he was traveling eastbound on SD Highway 32 near mile marker 416 at 2:34 p.m. Saturday. The driver of the semi-truck and trailer was wearing a seatbelt and had no injuries from the crash.
The driver of a 1999 GMC pickup truck was an 18-year-old woman and she was traveling in the same direction behind the semi with a passenger. As the driver of the semi started a right-hand turn onto 475th Avenue, the driver of the pickup swerved to the left and struck the semi-trailer.
The driver of the pickup truck was not wearing a seatbelt and had minor injuries.
The South Dakota Department of Public Safety says alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and the highway patrol continues to investigate the crash.
